Cotillion

Cotillion is a wonderful St. Paul's tradition-- since 1957, to be exact! St. Paul's cotillion is offered to rising 6th grade students. It is more than "punch and snacks"-- in the course of nine monthly classes, cotillion teaches students different traditional dances (such as the waltz, foxtrot, or tango),as well as important life skills, such as how to introduce themselves, the importance or dress and appearance, and basic table manners and etiquette.
Cotillion helps students gain confidence in themselves. It is a social education program that uses dance as a tool to teach social and character skills that are not normally covered in school. In classes, students learn to be comfortable with themselves and others, to communicate better, and to develop respect and self-confidence.
